Salon Policies

We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone with skin conditions and ill health that we suspect may be contagious, or we fear could be further harmed by our services. We also decline service to anyone demonstrating inappropriate behavior to our staff or other clients. 

Appointments/Cancellations

Appointments are recommended so we can secure a time that accommodates your schedule. However, we accept walk-ins based on availability, but clients with appointments have priority. Please understand that we make every attempt to accommodate all clients but we only have a limited number of providers and appointment times available in a day. We understand that circumstances may arise when you cannot keep your appointment, but in consideration of our staff, we ask that you please provide a 24-hour cancellation notice. Please keep in mind that when you do not show or “last minute cancellations” leave a staff who gets paid to provide you the service(s) with empty appointment times. We may have also turned away other guests who could have enjoyed that time slot. 

Late Arrivals

Appointments will be held for 10 minutes, after this grace period, you will be considered as " NO SHOW" and your appointment time may be reopened and/or given away. Please note that we will schedule enough time to complete each service that you request. If you will be late, please contact us immediately and we will try to accommodate you as best we can. If you arrive more than 10 minutes past your appointment start time, you may be asked to modify your service(s) or reschedule, so that we may honor our next client's appointment time. 

Guarantees/Exclusions

 Client satisfaction is our number one priority! If there is any kind of miscommunication or dispute, please notify us at the time of your service, we will make every effort to correct any problems before you leave the salon. Our goal is to ensure each service and visit meets your expectations.

 

Enhancements and gel polish manicures are guaranteed for 7 days after your appointment; excluding breakages. If you lose an enhancement or notice chips or lifting in the first seven days, please call us to schedule a free repair. Repairs after 7 days will be charged. Traditional polish services are not guaranteed. We will charge you for the costs of any repairs or replacements that we have to carry out because of damage that you have caused. For example, due to your own lack of care of your nails, or the finish of your nails, they are damaged (in that they are broken, chipped or start to lift). Be kind to your nails and they will look beautiful for weeks after your service. Please note that NO refunds will be given for salon services.

 

Responsibilities 

We will not be held responsible for any allergic reactions, whether they are a direct or indirect result of any products or services we offer in our salon. Please inform our staff about any special needs or medical conditions that you have (diabetes, e.g..) or allergic to any chemicals or substances before receiving any service. This will help customize your service(s) to ensure the highest satisfaction and benefits.

We are not responsible for damaged, lost, or stolen personal items including clothing or accessories that are brought into the salon. Please be extra careful when handling polishes and check if any left behind.

 

 

Gift Card/Voucher Terms of Use

Gift certificates cannot be exchanged for cash, nor will cash be given in exchange for unused balances. Gift certificates are non-refundable, but they are transferable. Additionally, The Nail Parlor is not responsible for lost, stolen or damaged cards or any unauthorized card use. Lastly, we are not liable to redeem any gift certificate that is presented for redemption after the expiry date.

Food and Beverage

We are happy to provide complimentary wine, coffee, tea, soda and water, based on availability. Please show I.D. in order to receive a complimentary alcoholic beverage. Limit 1 per drink per visit - NO EXCEPTIONS. Sandwiches, meals, chips, etc.. are not permitted in spa areas. Thank you for your understanding.

Child Safety Policy

We understand how challenging it is finding time to spend for yourself. However, unattended children in the salon are disruptive and dangerous. We use many products that are harmful if ingested or applied to the unprotected skin. It’s also respectful to other clients receiving services who may not want a child around during their salon experience. For their safety and for the preservation of our salon ambiance, we kindly request ONLY those receiving service(s) be present in the service areas. The children who are not receiving service must be supervised and remain in the waiting areas. 

Your understanding is greatly appreciated.  

Pet Policy

The Tennessee State of Cosmetology Board has specific rules and regulations stating that animals are not permitted in a cosmetology shop. Registered service animals are an exception. However, please let us know in advance as we will have to arrange a time you can have your appointment in a private setting or when there are no other clients in the salon. We have to respect our clients who may not be as comfortable around animals as we are. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. 

Other Considerations

To allow us to provide a quality service as efficiently as possible, you need to:

Ask for the service which you would like to have. If you are unsure, please speak to the salon manager.

Inform our staff if you are allergic to any chemicals or substances before receiving any service. 

Whilst receiving any service, please provide our staff with your feedback and or comments on their services so our staff can satisfy your requirements straight away.

Inform the staff member or salon manager if you have any concern relating to the salon, the staff, or any service.

If at any time during your service(s), you experience discomfort, please alert your service provider immediately.
